Dr. Amanda Albrecht is a hospitalist, or physician that specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Albrecht practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where she serves as the Chief of Hospital Medicine and Lead Physician for Quality & Clinical Effectiveness. She joined the Section in 2020, completed our Academic Hospitalist Track, and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. Her interests include medical education with a focus in clinical reasoning, and quality improvement with a focus in patient safety and operations.
Dr. Albrecht earned her medical degree from the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Temple University Hospital.
