Associate Professor
Dr. Yvonne McCarey is a hospitalist, or physician that specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. McCarey practices at Good Sheppard Penn Partners and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where she serves as the Medical Director of the Observation Unit. Dr. McCarey joined the Section in 2008 and currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. Her interests include optimizing patient flow through select patient placement and perioperative medicine.
Dr. McCarey earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed a medical residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
