Assistant Professor
Dr. Katherine Oakden is a hospitalist, or physician that specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Oakden practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She joined the Section in 2022 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Perelman School of Medicine. Her interests include medical education, curriculum development and student/resident mentorship.
Dr. Oakden earned her medical degree from the University of Queensland-Ochsner Clinical School. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences.
