Amanda French is an Advanced Practice Provider that specializes in treatment of patients within the hospital. Amanda practices at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania and serves as a Certified Nurse Practitioner taking care of internal medicine and medical oncology patients. Her professional interests include nursing and patient education, symptom management, cancer cachexia, and the impacts of social determinants of health.
Amanda earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts in Boston and her Master’s at University of Pennsylvania’s Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program with a minor in Oncology. She has worked primarily as an oncology nurse in a variety of settings and has worked in inpatient medical oncology, bone marrow transplant, outpatient infusion and travel nursing. She has also been a clinical and skills lab instructor for undergraduate nursing students.
Amanda enjoys her time off cooking, reading, embroidery, soap-making, and horror and action movies.
